888poker 8-Team Day 4 Update: Arseniy Karmatskiy vs. Chris Moorman
Day 4 of the 2018 World Series of Poker Main Event saw the final four players in the 888poker 8-Team Competition return to action. After five levels of play, the number was cut in half with just two captains C Arseniy Karmatskiy (Team Russia) and Chris Moorman (Team UK) C left in the mix.
Among the teams, which are each comprised of a captain, wingman and an online qualifier, out of the running are Spain, Canada, Sweden, Brazil and Germany. The team that amasses the most points throughout the Main Event will win a 2019 WSOP Main Event seat for each team member. Points are accumulated based on surviving each day of the tournament along with a bonus for finishing as the chip leader.
Right now, Team UK is out in front with 400 points thanks to Moorman finishing as the big stack amongst the participants for two days straight. Meanwhile, Team Russia has just 160 points, meaning Karmatskiy will need to outlast Moorman and make a deep run.

Day 4 Action
Team UK began the day with two players still in contention but online qualifier Billy Chattaway made an early exit. He lost a big portion of his chips in Level 17 (4,000/8,000/1,000) when, on a 5?8?10? flop, Tomas Kubaliak had about 50,000 in front of him in the cutoff and Chattaway had raised to 180,000 from the hijack.
Moorman: I never really had any hands, just grinding and staying around the same chip stack."
Kubaliak shoved all in holding the A?10? and Chattaway called with the A?Q? to create a 1 million pot. Chattaway had plenty of outs, but neither the 3? turn nor A? river helped him. Chattaway was left with 15 bigs but busted a short time later.
As for Moorman, Sunday was a day of treading water.
It was a testing day mentally, to be honest, he told PokerNews after bag and tag. I never really had any hands, just grinding and staying around the same chip stack. I began with 969,000 and went up a little then down. Now Im in the 35 big blind territory. Ideally, both Arseniy and I go deep and make the final table, but itd be nice to win the 8-Team as well.
The other 8-Teamer to fall on Day 4 was Brazils Pedro Correa, who has the last qualifier in the field earned 100 points for his team.
