At the 2024 WSOP Europe, 15 bracelet events are scheduled, and four have already crowned their champions.
Przemyslaw Szymanski claimed the first bracelet of the series by taking down Event #1: The 350 NLH Opener. Szymanski, a recreational player with an average tournament buy-in of 300, outlasted a massive field of 3,509 entries to win the top prize of 115,350, which also included a coveted ticket to the upcoming WSOPE Main Event.
In Event #2: 550 Pot-Limit Omaha, Ukraines Volodymyr Kokoulin emerged victorious. He secured his first bracelet after defeating Tomasz Kozub in a heads-up battle.
Former poker dealer Christopher Campisano turned a 1,350 buy-in into an impressive 213,950 by winning the Mini Main Event.
Brazilian pro and 888poker ambassador Vivian Saliba etched her name in history in Event #4: 2,000 Pot Limit Omaha, and became the first woman in three years to win a live open bracelet event (excluding the WSOP Ladies Event and Casino Employees Event). Saliba captured the title and the 91,400 top prize.
Tomas Krivsky shoved from the cutoff for 4,100,000 and Vito Branciforte put him at risk from the small blind.
Tomas Krivsky: A?9?
Vito Branciforte: A?10?
Krivsky was in a hole but did pick up some chop outs on the flop of 7?J?7?. The 3? on the turn was no help, but the 7? river meant they both had trip sevens with ace-jack kicker, and they chopped the pot.
Michal Schuh jammed his 7,900,000 in early position. The action folded to Mousa Awad in the big blind, who snap called for 4,900,000.
Mousa Awad: A?K?
Michal Schuh: 10?10?
Schuh flopped Awad nearly dead when made a set on 10?3?9? The 6? turn sealed Awad's fate as the eight-place finisher, and he said his goodbyes as the 4? came on the river.
Georgios Tsouloftas raised to 1,000,000 from middle position and Vito Branciforte flatted in the small blind. Both players then checked the 10?9?A? flop before Branciforte led out for 1,200,000 on the 6? turn.
Tsouloftas called before the 8? river went check-check again. Branciforte tabled J?10? for a pair of tens, but it did not win the pot as Tsoulfotas had the higher pair with A?3?.
Pascal Pflock raised to 1,000,000 in middle position with A?5? before Erik van Hulst found 7?7? on the button. He moved in for 4,400,000 and received a quick fold from Pflock.
One hand later, Paul Runcan made the minimum raise to 1,000,000 in middle position with A?6?. This time, Van Hulst looked down J?J? in the cutoff. He jammed all in again and once more took down the pot.
Paul Runcan raised to 800,000 from the cutoff and Georgios Tsouloftas called on the button before Tomas Krivsky shoved for 2,100,000 from the big blind. Runcan then shoved for 7,000,000, and Tsouloftas folded.
Tomas Krivsky: A?10?
Paul Runcan: 3?3?
Krivsky needed to win a flip to stay alive and he did just that as the runout of A?7?6?10?5? gave him two pair, which brought him off the bottom spot in the counts.
Vito Branciforte saw K?Q? in middle position and raised to 800,000. Pascal Pflock three-bet to 1,800,000 with K?Q? in the cutoff before the action folded to Georgios Tsouloftas in the small blind.
He though momentarily and then folded K?Q?. Branciforte quickly followed suit, shipping the pot to Pflock.
