One Last High Roller Event to Finish Things Off
Just when you thought the High Rollers were completed at this year's World Series of Poker Europe, one more non-bracelet event has been added to the list for those that are looking to play some high-stakes poker. Leon Tsoukernik, the owner of King's Casino in Rozvadov, has created one more big buy-in event called 100,000 LEON's High Roller that kicks off today.
While the 10,000 WSOPE Main Event is still the largest spectacle in the Poker Arena, this event will also be one to keep your eyes on. Martin Kabrhel just took down the latest high roller in Event #9: 100,000 Super High Roller, pocketing himself his second gold bracelet and over 2.6 million in the process. After his departure in the Main Event, Kabrhel will surely be one of the names and characters to look out for in the next couple of days.
While many players are still battling it out over the course of the six-day Main Event, those that are eliminated will be given one last shot to make their trip to Rozvadov a successful one. Some of the Germans in the high roller scene that could be expected to play are Dominik Nitsche, Stefan Schillhabel, Steffen Sontheimer, Christoph Vogelsang, and Johannes Becker.
The action will get underway at 4:00 PM local time with a total of eight 60-minute levels on the schedule for Day 1. Players will begin with 1,000,000 chips but that consists of only 100 big blinds as they will start off at 5,000/10,000 and a 10,000 big blind ante. Late registration will remain open for 10 levels, therefore players can register two levels into the start of Day 2. The tournament is scheduled to wrap up within two days but the number of expected players is up in the air and that could change.
