Riess Finally Succumbs

Level 14
: 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
At-large qualifier Ryan Riess has been nursing a short stack much of the day, and he managed to hold on thanks to a few doubles. With that said, Riess' run in the National Championship just came to an end courtesy of Choctaw Durant Casino Champion Andrew Robinson.
It happened when Riess shoved for 35,000 from the small blind after Robinson had opened. The latter called with the and was racing against the
of Riess. The
flop gave Riess a gutshot straight draw to go with his overs, but neither the
turn nor
river would help him.
Riess was eliminated in 27th place, meaning we're just two players away from the three-table redraw.
