After two full days of poker action at the Winamax Poker Open (WPO) in Banco Casino here in Bratislava, the much-anticipated main event is set to kick off today at 12 p.m. local time.
In 2022, the WPO Main Event attracted a huge field of 2,182 entries, breaking the record for the biggest six-max tournament in the history of live poker. It was Deividas Daubaris who bested this monstrous field to be crowned the winner, claiming both the title and the �120,000 first-place prize.

Prior to the main event, players have had plenty of chances to get into the mix over the felt as the schedule has already boasted impressive starting flights for both the �150 Colossus KO and the �750 Battle Royale KO. The upcoming schedule still includes the �300 Monster Stack, the �1,000 High Roller and a plethora of other side events.
But it��s not just poker that the players can sink their teeth into; for the remainder of the week, Winamax is hosting an abundance of side activities for attendees including Pingthalon, Beer Pong, a cocktail dinner, Bongo Loco and more.
Those participating in the main event on Days 1a, b and d will play through levels of 30 minutes, while those participating in the turbo flights on Days 1c and e will play through levels of 15 minutes. Those to advance to Day 2 and Day 3 will benefit from a clock of 35 minutes and 40 minutes respectively. Each Day 1 will conclude when approximately 16.6% of the field remains; all advancing players will be in the money. Late registration will be at the end of Level 13.
