Jerry Wong Leads The Final Table
Welcome back to PokerNews' coverage of the 2013 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure from the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island.
The Main Event began almost one week ago and after six days of poker, a field of 987 is left with just eight players looking to capture the $1,859,000 first-place prize and a place in the PCA record books. Leading the way with 7.4 million is Jerry Wong.
Yesterday's action saw the chip lead change multiple times throughout the late stages of the night as Wong, Joel Micka (6.475 million), and Ryan Fair each took turns atop the leader board. However, both Wong and Micka were the key figures in taking Fair's chips before his exit in ninth place.
Supernova Elite Andrey Shatilov (3.22 million), accomplished pro Owen Crowe (2.9 million), and $10 satelite winner Joao Nogueira (2.89 million) complete the top five chip counts. Online star Yann "yadio" Dion (2.535 million), 2011 EPT San Remo runner-up Dimitar Danchev (1.995 million), and recent WPT Montreal champion Jonathan Roy (1.525 million) round out the final table.
