After four Day 1 flights with 499 entrants, the 63 players who advanced all came together for Day 2 of $1,100 Event #2 at Pennsylvania State Poker Championship here at Live! Casino and Hotel Philadelphia. The PokerStars sponsored event created a total prize pool of $479,040, with play ending in a four-way ICM chop.
After the four-way ICM chop, Jonas Wexler held the chip lead and took home $58,780. Wexler has over $1,200,000 in poker earnings, he is also a World Series of Poker bracelet winner and holds seven WSOP circuit rings.
Along with the top prize, Wexler will also receive a Gold Pass to the NAPT Las Vegas Main Event in November. PokerStars will award the winner of this event the Gold Pass package, which includes travel, accommodation, and the $5,300 tournament buy-in.
Taking home the most cash from the chop was Westchester, PA resident Kevin Roche who was second in chips, winning $59,783. This is a new high score for Roche, who now has over $100,000 in career poker earnings.
Third in chips was Jose Waybright, who more than tripled his career poker earnings after he won $57,546. It was a rollercoaster of a tournament for Waybright, who was on the brink of elimination several times throughout the two days of the tournament.
Fourth in chips at the time of the chop was Willam Chisholm, who won $55,206, in his first career live tournament cash. Chisholm was able to ride the momentum of spiking a king on the river, when his pocket kings ran into aces early into Day 2
Prior to the final table, knockouts came fast and furious to start the day, with notables busting such as two-time WPT winner Bin Weng, World Series of Poker bracelet winners Tim Faro and Boris Kravets, as well as five-time WSOP Ring winner Brandon Mueller.
Final Table Action
At the final table the first casualty was Joseph Iannacone who ran his ace-jack in the small blind into Kevin Roche��s ace-queen and was not able to improve, to finish in ninth place.
Out in eighth place was the overall chip leader coming into Day 2, Keith Crowder. He raised all in with queen-jack suited but was dominated by the ace-jack of Christopher Csik. After the board ran out, Csik's ace high was best, and Crowder was eliminated.
Ryan Tillmann was sent to the payout desk in seventh after him and Jose Waybright ended up all in preflop. Tilmann had Ace-king versus the pocket fives of Waybright and was able to flop an ace. But Waybright turned a set to leave Tillmann drawing dead on the river.
Julian Penza was eliminated in sixth place in brutal fashion after flopping a set of sevens and being called all in by Willam Chisolm with king-queen, who had a gut shot straight draw on the flop. Penza could not fade the 10 on the river brought in the nut straight for Chisolm.

Once Waybright flopped a set, Csik missed his gut shot straight draw and was eliminated.

Christopher Csik opened the action with a raise to 1,500,000, leaving just 150,000 chips behind. Once it folded to the big blind Jose Waybright, he announced all in, and Csik called to put himself at risk.

Waybright woke up with pocket queens in the big blind, and left Csik in bad shape. After the Q?9?A? flop, things got worst for Csik, now needing running cards to beat the set of queens from Waybright. The J? on the turn did bring outs for Csik with a king to make a straight. But when the river came the 10? the set of queens were still best, and Csik was eliminated in fifth place.

The turn 3? peeled off and Roche bet 550,000. Waybright announced, "all in" but Roche tossed his cards into the muck. Waybright crossed the 3,000,000-chip mark as stacks continue to even out around the table.
