We've seen Blake Buffington pay off several large river bets today. It's impressive not only that he's still in the tournament, but that he has a roughly average-sized stack.
Buffington was the pre-flop aggressor and the player in position for a flop of . After Daniel Clemente checked, Buffington bet 45,000. Clemente check-raised that bet to 110,000.
"How much do you have?" Buffington asked.
"About 600 more," Clemente replied. Buffington then called.
Both players checked the turn. When the river paired the board , Clemente bet 150,000. Buffington didn't look happy but tossed in calling chips anyway.
"I have the worst full house," said Clemente, turning over for fours full of nines. Buffington mucked.
