Level 17
: Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
The pot had grown to around 115,000 with two players looking at a full board of A?6?2?8?5?.
Christian Steindel, in the big blind, checked the action to David Kaufmann, in the cutoff. Kaufmann placed a sizeable wager of 75,000, leaving himself around 35,000 behind the line.
Steindel, pained by his decision, tanked for several minutes before finally making the call. Kaufmann tabled A?8? for two pair. Steindel rather disappointingly tabled A?8? for the same holding. The pot was chopped and both players laughed at how anti-climatic the result of the hand was.
