Mayer and Tammel Chop One Up

Andre Mayer raised to 2,000 from the cutoff and was called by Tarmo Tammel in the big blind.
Tammel check-called a 2,500 bet from Mayer on the 7?K?J? flop and 4,500 bet from Mayer on the 5? turn.
The 2? completed the board and Tammel checked once more. Mayer fired 8,500 into the middle, which sent Tammel into the tank.
"Ace-king?" Tammel mused.
Eventually, Tammel put in calling chips and Mayer tabled K?Q?. Upon seeing it, Tammel turned over K?Q? for the same hand and they chopped up the pot.
"I thought you had the same hand," Mayer said as he collected his half of the pot.
