It started with a limp from Allan Dabbajh in middle positon before Jonathan Abdellatif bet the pot, raising to 18,000 in total. Raj Ramamkrishnan made the call from the small blind, Thomas Levine folded the big blind and Dabbajh folded to take it heads up to a flop.
Ramakrishnan checked and Abdellatif moved in for his last 19,800 and was quickly called.
Raj Ramamkrishnan:
Jonathan Abdellatif:
Abdellatif was the at risk player and needed to hit to survive, and duly did when the turn and river ran out and respectively to give the Belgium player two pair - eights and tens.
Espen Solaas raised it up to 8,000 from under the gun, picking up a caller in Allan Dabbajh on the button.
The flop fell and Solaas checked it over to Dabbajh who looked like he liked it and led for 18,000. Solaas asked Dabbajh how much more he was playing (35,000) and made the call, checking again on the turn.
Dabbajh moved all-in for the last of his chips, flashing for a small flush after Solaas folded.
Dzmitry Urbanovich was first to act and raised to 7,500. Allan Dabbajh three-bet to 11,500 from the button, followed by a four-bet to 45,000 from small blind Demicki, with just a bit behind. Urbanovich repotted, Dabbajh folded.
Daniel Demicki:
Dzmitry Urbanovich:
The board ran out and Urbanovich collected the chips, adding another big amount of chips to his stack. Daniel Demicki won this event last year, now he had to settle for the min cash of $18,330.
The remaining six players are guaranteed AUD$21,385 from here on out.
Allan Dabbajh limped in middle position before Daniel Demicki juiced it to the max with a pot re-raise to 13,500, which Dabbajh called.
The flop came down which brought a check from Dabbajh and a shove of 19,500 from Demicki. Dabbajh thought it over.
"I've got nothing man," Dabbajh told Deminki, but with chips to spare Dabbajh elected to take a shot at busting the Polish player and made the call.
Allan Dabbajh:
Daniel Demicki:
Demicki looked to be in great shape with top two and just had to fade Dabajh's gutshot and runner, runner draws, which he did when the turn and completed the hand to double the Polish player up.
