A Limp-Raise Gets It Done
Zhao Feng called the big bling of 300 from UTG. Action folded around to Quan Zhou, in middle position. While Zhou was thinking, Leo Damien Kwan put 1,000 into the middle out of turn. Zhou then raised to 1,100. Kwan pulled his chips back and the dealer told him it needed to stay. Other players started getting into the discussion and the floor was called.
The situation was explained and the floor went to get another supervisor. The ruling came down that since the raise of Zhou changed the action, Kwan could take his chips back and have all options open to him. He was also told if he did it again, he would receive a penalty. Kwan retrieved his chips and folded.
There were still a few people to act but only Yan Cai, the big blind, made the call. Play was now back to Feng, who originally limped, and took advantage of the situation and reraised to 3,500 which prompted a fold from everyone.
