Among the 202 entrants that took part on Day 1c and 1d, Dan Galinschi charged up the leaderboard late in the night to bag the largest stack with 310,000 chips. That puts the Romanian in seventh place overall, heading into Day 2 with 155 big blinds. In all, 79 players survived the opening flights on Friday, bringing the total Day 2 field to 138.
Ran Shahar remains the tournament chip leader after collecting 427,500 chips on Day 1a, sitting as the only player to earn more than 200 big blinds thus far. Stefan Toderita sits in second spot, leading the way on Day 1b with 369,000 chips.

Among the notable names inside Friday's top 10 is Canadian Dominick French, who had already bagged 163,000 chips on Day 1a. With players allowed to carry their largest stack forward, French��s gameplan worked nicely as he amassed a new total of 213,000.
888poker Ambassador Ian Simpson was also taking a second shot on Friday after busting late in Day 1b. This time is was mission accomplished for Simpson, who collected 124,000 chips to join fellow Ambassadors Vivian Saliba and Lucia Navarro on Day 2.
The turbo Day 1d flight provided a second chance for 888poker Stream Team member Nick Eastwood, who busted Day 1c before running up a stack in the nightcap. Eastwood finished with 205,000, good for 103 big blinds for action on Saturday.
Fellow streamer Andrei Cosmin was unable to survive the day and is expected to join the action before late registration closes at the start of play on Day 2.
Saturday should be equally exciting at 888poker Room Bucharest, as the money bubble looms for all of the remaining players. Day 2 begins at 3 p.m. local time, when registration will close and the final prize pool will be set.
The day is scheduled for twelve more levels of 50 minutes each, starting with blinds of 1,000/2,000 and a 2,000 big blind ante. Breaks will be 15 minutes long at the conclusion of every three levels of play.
