Jan Fisher is an American poker player, instructor and industry veteran who was inducted into the Women in Poker Hall of Fame in 2009.
After beginning her poker industry career as a dealer, Fisher made her way into poker management and co-founded the Poker Tournament Directors Association in 2001. According to her Poker TDA bio, Fisher has also been active in poker broadcasting and media and was editor of Card Player Magazine's Poker 101 column for 10 years.
In addition to her work on the industry side, Fisher is also an active poker player whose first live cash dates back to 1984 when she finished seventh in the Grand Priz of Poker $1,000 Seven Card Stud event for $5,320.
Fisher would see more poker tournament success in the coming decades and in 2004 she earned her biggest career cash by finishing ninth in the Midland Masters ��1,500 Main Event for $7,434. Three years later, Fisher took down the 2007 Scotty Nguyen Poker Challenge $100 Ladies Event for $5,787.
Fisher remains active on the felt and finished fifth in a 2022 South Point $80 Omaha 8 tournament for $311.
